Can you break out the Breast?

Wow, this has been a big topic in the news over the past few days.  And while this is my opinion, I stand by it.  I don't know any other way.  My wife and I have been breastfeeding parents, well not me so much or really at all, but you know what I mean.  The other day there was a story about Breast Feeding saving lives and money in the USA Today and this morning I saw another story about how women are donating Breast milk to banks to help other mothers.

My wife has Breast fed all of our 4 C's and our kids have received all the benefits.  Strong, healthy, smart, never sick and I believe that is all from being breastfed.  It is why I believe that being a NATURAL parent is what is best for the child.  I also strongly believe that it makes the bond between a mother and a child that much closer.

Look, for all of you other moms who choose to feed your children in other ways, I really don't care, do what you want, it is your choice and do what you do, but don't get pissed when people debate it and talk about how breast feeding is better.  Well get pissed, who cares the debate will still go on anyways.

So while I am just a dad who has NO breasts and none of my C's feed off of them, I am just a dad who has been educated by a woman that has done the research now for 6 + years on this topic.  My wife.  She is way smarter than me on this and she has written about it several times on her blog.  The only reason I wrote about it today, was because I just saw and read the article and it made me think, yes I actually thought and decided to write a spur of the moment post about how the breast feeding topic has been in the news alot of the past few days.

I might come back and add more to this post as the days goes on and I read more and re-read both articles, this was like I said just a quick off the top of my head type up.

Totally agree that breast is best, although not for every one, for my 3 it was best. And you can't beat the price and convenience along with all of health benefits and bonding that goes on. Even when baby throws up, it's not so terrible's kind of sweet. That's crazy but so true.

I agree that it is best...and being the opinionated person that I am...I'd better just stop there with this comment! ;o)

I agree with you and still breastfeed my 18 month ole daughter. She's only really been sick once and that was after her first and only trip to Chuck E. Cheese. There need to be more men that see it the way you do.

Nursing is awsome...for some! Unfortunatley, I was physically unable to nurse. I never produced milk, so I am VERY happy that formula was availalbe. My little girl has never been very sick, not even an ear infection. At most just a small bug that lasted a couple days. That means I am incredibly lucky to have a healthy child, and I know I am blessed, and I was fortunate to have other options!
