Nice Easter Weekend

What a nice Easter weekend.  The weather was great the pollen filled the air along with the sun beaming down on us.  Saturday we got the kids up and took them to a community egg hunt with a million other kids.  But the kids had fun, they go to run around and get a bunch of nasty candy that we throw away at the end of the day or the candy fairy comes and trades it for something useful like a book or a toothbrush.

Then T and I got to cleaning the house and we finished getting all of the Spring and Summer clothes out and got the Winter clothes put up.  You never have enough tubs when you need them.  The kids got to play outside and C1 and C2 tried as hard as they could to hurt themselves on the scooters.  My boys are on the brink of turning scooter-ing into a X-Games event.

The best part of Saturday evening was the coloring of the eggs.  The kids had so much fun and their hands were so colorful.  After the eggs were done, I let them take the extra dye and color my white t-shirt.  They loved doing that.  They thought it looked so cool and they couldn't wait for it to dry so I could wear it.

Easter Sunday (yesterday) was a nice day as well.  The Easter Bunny came to the house and the kids enjoyed the baskets. C3 got a new Beary in her basket, so now all of the C's have multiple Beary's and soon the Bearys will be taking over the house. I mean now that everyone has Beary's, I am wondering if T and I need to be aware of them.  We had a nice Easter meal, T's mom (the C's Nana) and the kids Uncle came out to the house and brought a nice ham over and T made some other stuff and it was good.  We ate through out the day and played outside and then went out to hunt more eggs.  The eggs were filled with prize coupons and dollars.  The kids loved that.

So it ended up being a nice weekend and the kids had fun and that is whats important.

Tonight is the Championship game for the NCAA and it is Butler vs. Duke.  Probably a blowout in Dukes favor but we will find out tonight and I will announce the winner of the NCAA Bracket Challange and my first ever give away.

I never thought about a "fairy" to take the crap I don't want given to my kids.

Maybe the confetti egg fairy will take away all the ones my mother in law gave the kids yesterday.

I love the idea of the candy fairy taking all the sugary sweets!! It seems like Easter is never gonna end around here...everyone keeps bringing the kids baskets loaded with candy. UGH! They've been on sugar highs for the last 2 days.

Sounds like you and the family had a great time!!!
