Wee-Kend Fun....Soccer and a Birthday Party

What a weekend! It was fun and it went by too fast.

Friday night I got off work a whole 30 minutes early and went to meet T, the C's and Nanny & PawPaw. We got to this place and waited what seemed like forever and the kids were starving. We finally sat down and ate and had a nice dinner.

Saturday was the big day. A big day filled with lots to do. Places to go. People to see and more places to go.

First it was Opening Day...Game 1 of the 2011 Soccer Season. Team Red played the Bremen Blue and it was fun. So much fun. I had such a blast coaching that I am going to be sad that I can't make it to any more of the games. But I will be at the Saturday practices.

Here is a bit of the game on Saturday. Next time I need to give the lessons to Nanny & PawPaw on how to work the Vloggie Camera before I just toss it to them and say "Hey record"

Then we went home to change for C2's B'day party at Castle Playground. All of C2's good friends came to have fun and celebrate. We had good cookie cake and he LOVED his gifts. Lets just say, Legos. He got plenty of Legos. He loved his Indiana Jones Lego set and the Lego Sorry game he got was alot of fun.

After a good few hours of running around and playing Nanny and PawPaw took us to our favorite place to eat. Tokyo Japanese Steak House. We go there every time they come to visit. The kids love it too, not just T and I.

Then is was off to home. Where C1 and C2 locked themselves in the bedroom to build almost every Lego set C2 got as a gift.

Sunday morning we met Nanny and PawPaw at the Cracker Barrel. We ate and then we hung out on the porch and sat in some rocking chairs, while the kids played until Nanny and PawPaw saddled up and started the trek back to Va.

Mom and Dad, thanks for coming down to visit for C2's birthday. It was great to see you and the kids enjoyed spending time with you guys.

Go Team Red!!! Love that soccer video and looks like lots of fun for you all.

So glad C2 had a great birthday & beautiful weather to enjoy also. Yeah for cookie cake...that's my favorite too! And Lego's are awesome. I still like to play with them with the kids.

Glad you, T & all the C's had a wonderful weekend!

Birthday blessings! What a day you had! Thanks for sharing.

Legos are everything to kids. I have been getting them from every yard sale and second-hand store when I find them. I have a PILE! My nephews have claimed ownership!

What a fun visit! We tend to go to the hibachi style restaurants every time my dad comes to visit or we go visit him. That must be part of the reason Little Butt LOVES sushi. Her favorite part is the onion volcano. I'm glad you all got to spend some time with the parental units!
